Very fine barbecue pulled pork, ribs, and chicken with a variety of sauces! Corn muffins, mostly savory and steak fries are superb. Friendly service, atmosphere, good blues and nice outdoor are on the street side. Worth the stop!

Excellent as usual. I always get brisket or catfish. I love the sauces, cornbread muffins, steak fries. The wait staff is extensively trained for impeccable service, so tip well.

I are at Parker's during the week, and they weren't too busy. The service was friendly, even bringing us some fries to munch on while we were waiting for our food. I ordered the two meat combo, which was a nice sample. The rib tips were tasty. My own two criticisms were that the cole slaw was under seasoned and the corn bread got hard after it cooled down. I would go back on my next trip to Nebraska City.

Me and my date stopped in for lunch at a little after 11am, and our first impressions were very poor. The floor was just mopped, and as the business is just opening, the floors should have been mopped and cleaned the night before, this happening in the opening hours during a lunch rush creates a safety concern for the new comming customers. The first person to greet us at the door was Shae, a very shy, quiet, almost rude waitress. She seated us in our desired seat, a booth, took our drink order. When it comes to our waitress, Shae was our main waitress, she was rude, very slow, and we had to ask multiple times for things we needed. It seemed as Shae didnt want to be there at all, and she took her frustrations out on her customers. When you eat at Parker's Smokehouse, the waiters have a specific way and order to do things, as there is a variety of different sauces that they should demonstrate which is which and how they taste. Shae did not follow procedure, nor did she hand out the free steak fries to compliment the sauce demonstration. We left furious and unhappy with the service.

As a BBQ connoisseur, I'm always on the lookout for a local gem while out of town. Traveling home from Omaha to Tulsa, I stopped at Parkers after finding on Yelp. This place has a great menu selection, more than most. Several sides to choose from. Great atmosphere with feelgood music. Their sign says BBQ With Soul, and I think they've hit the mark. Food was great too.

Great place! The various sauces are great, but the meats come without the sauce so you can choose your own! The smoked flavor didn't need a sauce for me, but my husband used their original. Sides were great - with some excellent sweet potato fries! We will be back again when in Nebraska City!

I have eaten at their location in Ashland, Nebraska, a few times and decided to stop in this location after a weekend road trip had me traveling through Nebraska City. I came in around 3PM on a Saturday in August. FYI, there's a sign on the door that as of 7/27/2015 they will no longer be open on Mondays and Tuesdays. Hot Links and Chicken are where Parker's really shines in my opinion. Their ribs are okay (need a better rub, better bark, and more smoke flavor), their chopped pork is okay, but their hot links and chicken are superb. I also enjoy their steak fries, baked beans, and romano potatoes. They also have a great selection of BBQ sauces from sweet to tangy to spicy and everything in-between. I love BBQ sauce and they excel at it. Kitchen was crazy slow. It was the middle of the afternoon and it's BBQ. There was only one other table of customers dining in here. Since BBQ takes many hours to make properly it is always already made when you order it (otherwise you'd have to wait 8 hours while they slow cooked smoked the meat). As a result, you almost always get your food super quickly in BBQ restaurants as all they really have to do is plate it. For some reason it took almost 20 minutes to get out BBQ. Service seems better at the Ashland location than here. The wait staff here have more of a "just doing enough to not get fired" vibe going on. It's almost like in Ashland they had their pick of who they wanted for wait staff and in Nebraska City they were scraping the bottom of the barrel. The atmosphere and decor certainly have a different feel to them than they do in the one in Ashland. Ashland has a bit more of a down home feel and this place is a little less warm and cozy and a bit more urban (if you can use that word about Nebraska City). I've not eaten at every full service restaurant in Nebraska City, but I'm guessing Parker's is probably in the Top 5 if not #1. If you're in Nebraska City at meal time then give Parker's a try.

Nothing like a good BBQ joint on a Midwestern Main Street - even if this one's just one block over. The place is busy, the staff is friendly, and the food is great! You can argue that you don't have a lot of options in Nebraska City, but this place would stand up in any city. Solid!

Quite possibly the best brisket and ribs that I have ever had. The food is five stars. Price is very reasonable. Gave only four stars since the service was not very warm and the place is clean but not necessarily inviting. I have to admit that not many smoke houses are.

Stopped by Nebraska City on our way to Grand Island Smelled the barbecue while downtown and couldn't resist checking it out. It was fantastic! My husband and I split the sampler platter with a side of ribs The waitress brought a small bowl of steak fries for taste testing the six different sauces Service was excellent and food prices were reasonable.

Love the food and the people! Fantastic place!! I've eaten there three times since working in Nebraska City. Each time has been fabulous. I've had the prime rib Reuben, the pulled pork, the ribs (oh the ribs!), and the corn muffins are delicious! :) Clean, offers a good variety, simple and affordable. Parkers is definitely the best restaurant in town.

We were a bit nervous as we drive into this funky little town but based on others' reviews decided to give Parker's a try. We weren't disappointed! The brisket was good, the rib tips excellent. Good variety of sauces to choose from. My house salad was a pleasant surprise - nice Romaine with real bacon bits and warm homemade croutons. By the time I finished it I was about full. Steak fries were the bomb ~ exceptionally good - and onion rings were great too. Baked beans however were just ho him. Very generous servings and very reasonably priced.and food was served within 5 minutes of ordering. The only things keeping us from giving 5 stars are the atmosphere (or lack thereof - felt like we were sitting in a high school auditorium) and the wait staff. Our waitress wasn't overly friendly and we had to wave her down to order a second drink. Not bad service - just not great. But hey, the food was great and we have come to expect varying degrees of service when you hit these small town joints. Overall, highly recommend this place. We have a lot of leftovers in our cooler!

Alright, where do you eat when you are in Southeast Nebraska? Parkers of course for some good old fashioned smoked meats and premium sauces. The food was good, portions are large and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing that would've made my experience at Parkers better would've been a cold brew. They do serve beer so I recommend ordering up some potato wedges, some brisket and a cold one!

Greasy food. Greasy floors. Friendly staff, but terrible food. Food lacks seasoning. They try to make up for the lack of seasoning by adding way too much cheese.

A good option for grabbing dinner and they stay open later than most of the other restaurants in Nebraska City. Serve a range of beers and also do have salads, sandwiches, and items other than BBQ. Also, they do take out.

Can't rate their BBQ as we had a Garden burger. I assume it was a commercially made frozen one but it was good. The barbecue sauces were all. real good. The staff was extremely friendly.

Good ribs, good price and friendly service in a true smokehouse joint. Found it on Yelp. Yelp comes through again! Oh, and they serve local brews. Yum.

This place serves up some real good BBQ. I had the prime rib and it was phenomenal. Cooked to perfection. The bloom'n onion was also very tasty. I had a taste of their real hot BBQ sauce, in my opinion it wasn't very hot. Some might think it is hot. I also had some peach margaritas made with Patron. Talk about some stiff ass drinks. They also have beer. The place is good size and clean.

Great BBQ meat. I thought they did a great job on smokin the meat, but the order completion was lacking as they missed part of our meal, however they did provide some great customer service to make up for it. I would return again when I come back here.

Small town Nebraska, a bridge washed out, should we take a chance? The worst review about Parkers is all wrong. The place is clean and the food is the least greasy BBQ I have ever eaten. The wait staff were super helpful despite a tour bus unexpectedly off-loading a group for dinner. The sauces were varied and delicious. Each of our party of four had a favorite. We asked Nadine our server for advice and everything she said was spot on terrific. Get the ribs naked and pour the sauce on yourself - they are so good and tender! My wife had the brisket...tender, smoky, practically melted in your mouth. The fries are just as good as everyone else has posted. The mashed potatoes were awesome. The beans and onion rings were unique in flavor but not really my favorite (I think I like them more traditional and each had additional flavors beyond tradition). The muffins were great too. Service was fast and responsive and like I said the staff guided us in our adventure. Portions were generous. Parkers is on our list for the top two bbqs of all time.

Good BBQ. I had the Texas brisket, it was great, side of corn bread was fresh delicious. I also had a side of baked beans that were spicy with peppers in them, I prefer a sweet flavor with baked beans, but its a matter of taste. I tried one of their local wheat beers on tap, it was good, reminded me of Boulevard Wheat. Overall thumbs up for casual BBQ!

For Nebraska City, this is the best you're gonna get. 6 different delicious BBQ sauces to choose from, all conveniently located at the table so you can mix it up as you go. Service was EXCELLENT. Our waitress brought us a small dish of their tasty steak fries to sample the BBQ sauces with. I got the Georgia pulled pork, which was quite tender and delicious, although piled on top of a piece of Texas toast that I could have done without. Steamed veggies were overdone, but flavorful. Coleslaw was alright, although drowning in the dressing. The establishment itself was very clean and respectable. All in all, a satisfying meal, much better than what I anticipated.
